The Main Event performance will showcase new experimental choreographies by some of Australia’s best dance artists developed at The Corner Dance Lab, a nine-day dance workshop program held annually in Federal.

The limited seating performance will be held at Jasper Corner at 7:30pm on Saturday 23 January.

The Corner Dance Lab is led by co-facilitators Philip Channells (Dance Integrated Australia) and Gavin Webber (The Farm Company) who bring together an exciting line up of dance practitioners, musicians and visual artists from the local area, interstate and abroad.

Local Federal resident Philip Channells said, “once again we’re bringing some of Australia’s most established dance artists together to share our creative practice. It is an important opportunity for emerging and established artists to work together and we’re really excited to show the outcomes to the community.

While The Corner Dance Lab attracts high caliber artists, it also connects them with emerging dancers with and without disability to challenge themselves physically, intellectually and artistically.

Catering for the event is courtesy of The Rosebank Store’s Fusion Kitchen, highlighting certified organic and locally sourced ingredients, Assamese curries, global flavours with a home style flair. Food will be available to purchase from 6pm. BYO refreshments.

Tickets for The Main Event can be purchased at the door – adults $15 / concession $10. Limited seating available.
