Excuse me while I kiss the sky

When Jo Immig, the coordinator of the National Toxics Network was at the beach a few months ago, she happened to be there for one of the most sensational sunsets she’s ever seen.  “I live in the hinterland near Possum Creek,” she says, “but I just happened to be on the beach with a camera as this spectacular display played out across the fluffy screen of clouds, enveloping the beach and turning the ocean red.  My camera seemed like a hopeless little device trying to capture so much beauty all at once.  In this image the colour is retreating back to the source – and I was left feeling tiny, and awstruck.” As are we, at the sight of the photo!
