The Australian Burlesque Festival was founded in 2010 by Melbourne Burlesque icons Dolores Daiquiri and Rosy Rabbit with a passion to celebrate this timeless art form and foster a creative community of Burlesque performers and enthusiasts.
The Australian Burlesque Festival is the biggest celebration of tease in the Southern Hemisphere and brings together the best of national and emerging performers along with renowned international icons never before seen on Australian stages.
Medianoche was recently first runner-up in the Burlesque Hall of Fame Las Vegas.
A night of glamorous classic tease and modern neo-burlesque Shake-O-Rama features some of the best and most entertaining internal and local burlesque performers. Celebrate traditional Bump n‘Grind, vintage tease, sizzling cabaret and variety entertainment with some jaw-dropping glamour from the leading stars of the burlesque stage.
The ABF 2015 features dazzling headliners such as Dolores Daiquiri – co-Founder and director of the Australian Burlesque Festival (Melbourne), Sina King – Miss Burlesque Australia 2011 (Melbourne), Strawberry Siren – Miss Burlesque Australia 2013 (Melbourne,) and Lila Luxx People’s Choice 2014 Australian Burlesque Community Qld. Rounding out the headliners scheduled to hit the stage are international glamazons Vicky Butterfly – award winning founder and performer in Black Cabaret London (UK) and Medianoche – First runner-up award-winner Burlesque Hall of Fame Las Vegas (New York).

Leading international Burlesque Magazine, 21st Century Burlesque Magazine, recently voted the international headliners onto the Worldwide Top 50 Burlesque Performers List in 2014. Dolores Daiquiri, Sina King & The Strawberry Siren were recently voted onto the Top 10 Australian Burlesque Performers List in 2014.
