Waving Grasses

Candida Baker snapped these waving grasses in the macadamia forest near her house. In the hills behind Byron Bay. “Because there are no grazing animals in the macadamias, wherever there’s a clearing you get these beautiful areas of grassland, filled with birds and insects,” she says.  “On this particular morning the breeze was blowing the grasses all one way, and I liked the distinct layers of colour – it reminds me of an abstract painting.”
