Of droughts and flooding rains

“300 mls of rain in one night,” says Verandah Magazine’s Candida Baker.  “It was unbelievable.  I like this shot because the road closed sign seems just a tad unneccesary!  While I was taking the photo, I suddenly noticed the amount of birds around – there were robins, finches, magpies, cormorants, ibis, butcher birds and more – all wheeling around and dipping into the water. It was truly beautiful.”
