Buzzing bees on a lazy Sunday afternoon

ShotoftheWeek

Richard Weakley took this beautiful Shot of the Week on his iPhone6 after he’d finished mowing the lawns at his children’s school.  “The warm early afternoon zephyr was making it difficult for this bee to land on the milkflower which made it easier for me to snap this shot,” he says. “I like it because it demonstrates the flying technicalities required to be surmounted by the bee in order get to the pollen. It was like a courtship of sorts in the windy weather.” To us here at Verandah Magazine it has a wonderfully illustrative quality – a book cover perhaps?
